Something to Consider

In Matthew 16:5-12, Jesus is teaching the disciples and told them to beware of the leaven (yeast) of the Scribes and Pharisees. The disciples thought He was upset because they brought no bread. He got very clear and told them He was not talking about bread but the yeast of the Scribes and Pharisees . He meant that teachings (traditions) were like yeast, they puff up those who teach and make them feel overly important! Servanthood was still what Jesus wanted in church leaders, not overblown importance!
